We recently stayed at Old Church House on the Isle of Wight and had a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent—warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The host really made us feel at home and was always happy to help with anything we needed. The highlight of the morning was the delicious English breakfast. Everything was freshly prepared, and there was a lovely variety, including a vegetarian option. It was the perfect way to start the day and really added to the charm of staying at a B&B. We stayed in the Deluxe Double Room, which was beautifully decorated, spotless, and very comfortable. The mattress and pillows were amazing—some of the best I've ever slept on! It made for a really restful and relaxing stay. Parking was also great—easy and convenient, with no stress at all, which is always a bonus when you're travelling. All in all, Old Church House is a lovely place to stay and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the Isle of Wight.

The location was perfect, 5 minutes walk to the bus station. My husband walked the whole of the Isle of Wight coast path and therefore used the busses each morning and afternoon, whilst I was able to use busses to explore the Island as a tourist. Our bed was comfortable and the room was clean and just about big enough with an adequate hanging rail in place of a wardrobe. There was always plenty of hot water and the shower was very good. Breakfast was excellent, and Julie was very accommodating, friendly and genuinely interested in what we were doing each day, with helpful tips for me on good cafes, galleries and shops. It was early April which meant the tourist season hadn't properly started but we were able to eat at 5 different good restaurants in Newport so we didn't need to use our car at all during our stay, which was a definite bonus.

Julie was the perfect host and welcomed us before I'd even managed to ring the doorbell. The house is beautiful and felt "Welcoming" everywhere - it just had a lovely feel about it. Parking at the rear of the property was perfect and it was an easy walk into Newport High Street with all of its shops, bars and restaurants. We had an early start on Sunday morning and it was no trouble for Julie to provide us with a superb breakfast at 7.30am - Julie you fortified us for our day rallying - we were seeded at 51 at the start and fuelled inside by your English breakfast saw us and our rally car reach the end all in one piece, being 36th overall. When we return to Newport in the future we will certainly aim to stay with you again. You really do provide a "Home from Home".

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and comfortable. Julie was an absolute gem - her kindness and hospitality shome through in every way. The breakfasts she cooked were absolutely delicious and, it was lovely to have such a warm and inviting meal to start our day. The house itself is beautifully maintained and has a lovely atmosphere. It's clear that Julie has put a lot of thought into creating a cozy and welcoming space for her guests. But what really stood out to us was Julie's accommodating nature. She went out her way to make sure we had everything we needed and was always happy to offer helpful advice or assistance. She's a genuine person with a heart of gold and it's clear that she genuinely cares about her guests.

Quiet location (even though it is opposite a pay and display car park), within easy walking distance of Newport centre. Private parking at the back. Not many guest rooms, so we felt we received a personalised service from the friendly owners. Very comfy large bed. Clean. Over bath shower had a good pressure and temperature and was very effective, although temperature setting was a bit fiddly to start with as there was no thermostatic valve. Kettle with a range of teas and coffee in the room. Pedestal fan kept us cool on the hot nights.
